The Lions Club of Issoire, France (District 103-CS), the sponsoring club, joined the Lions Club of Bamako, Mali (District 403-A), the host club, to provide technical assistance and project funding to install deep water wells. An International Assistance Grant for US$30,000 was approved to assist in this cooperative effort, bringing clean water and improved health to thousands of people.
