Communities around the world know they can count on a Lion. Time and again Lions heed the call of their communities. Whether it’s equipping a hospital in British Columbia, Canada, or rebuilding a children’s camp in Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina, Lions continue to meet the needs of their community.

These services are often made possible through funding from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). LCIF has awarded more than $640 million in grants for Lions’ projects around the world, including nearly $2 million each year for immediate relief following natural disasters.

Following Hurricane Katrina, LCIF mobilized $5 million in funding to purchase school uniforms and buses, equip the Lions vision program and enable Lions to continue other services in the community. Similarly, Lions in China are rebuilding homes, schools and clinics in Sichuan province following the devastating earthquake. LCIF is mobilizing $3 million for the Lions to use to purchase the needed supplies. LCIF and Lions are responding to Hurricane Gustav and other recent hurricanes.

No matter the need, through grant funding available from LCIF, Lions are able to develop projects to address those needs.

LCIF is your foundation.
