Established in 2004, the Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center was sponsored by the Lions of District 19-C, Washington.

Lions collect used eyeglasses and deliver them to the Center. The used eyeglasses are cleaned and sorted. Then, the lens prescription is determined. Finally, the eyeglasses are ready for distribution to a needy person in a developing country.
