The district environment chairperson is responsible for:

• motivating clubs to undertake Lions Green Team projects such as community clean-ups, recycling, and tree planting;
• promoting participation in the Lions Environmental Photo Contest;
• encouraging individual Lions and their clubs to consider the environmental effects of their personal and club actions;
• apprising Lions of any imminent environmental crisis within the district.
