2005 Convention
President's Message
July 5 | July 6 | July 7 | July 8 | July 9

Friday, July 9

What a wonderful week in Detroit and Windsor!

I encourage all convention delegates to vote this morning, which is vital to helping shape the future of Lions Clubs International. During the Final Plenary Session, I will install our 2004-2005 International President Clement F. Kusiak, and he will give his inaugural address, "Sharing Success through Service."

World evangelist and broadcaster Dr. Billy Jang Hwan Kim will receive the Lions Humanitarian Award. Dr. Kim has brought people together worldwide to fight racial and ethnic conflict. He will receive a US$200,000 grant from LCIF to continue humanitarian work.

Following the close of convention, Lions are invited to Festival Epicure in Windsor, which will feature entertainment and food vendors from some of the city's finest restaurants and specialty stores.

This convention has truly been an opportunity to share innovative ideas while rejuvenating ourselves for the upcoming year. A special thank you to the host committees of Detroit and Windsor and Lions Clubs International headquarters staff, who worked so diligently to create a truly wonderful convention for all of us.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tae-Sup Lee
International President
