Wednesday President’s Message

Today I offer my Year-end Report at the Opening Plenary session. I am excited at the proposition of sharing with you the significant progress we have made in what has been a successful year.

It is also my pleasure today to welcome Nobel Peace Prize-winner Professor Adil Najam, who will deliver a keynote address to Lions on the effects of climate change.

Today's plenary session will include the announcement of the results of the International Parade Contest, as well as a colorful flag ceremony.

Finally, be sure to stop by the exhibit hall this afternoon. Peace Poster grand prize winners Ming Yang Soong (2007-08) and Sittichok Pariyaket (2002-03) will autograph reproductions of this year's grand prize Peace Poster and a special 20th anniversary poster featuring all 20 grand prize Peace Poster images. Proceeds from the poster sales will go to Campaign SightFirst II.
