Dueling pianos strike a chord with attendees during this morning’s plenary session.

The 2010 Lions Humanitarian Award was presented to Wangari Maathai,an internationally known environmental activist and founder of the Green Belt Movement, a broad based grassroots organization that works to reduce poverty and protect the environment.

LCIF Chaiperson Al Brandel highlights the Foundation's achievements this past year and relief efforts in Haiti, Chile, China and further humanitarian programs.

LCIF celebrates the 10th year of Special Olympics-Lions Clubs International Opening Eyes program. Volunteers demonstrate partnership with a vision screening for Special Olympics athletes at the convention centre.

Votes are in and winners announced for the 2009 Environmental Photo Contest. Proceeds from silent auction of the photos and calendar sale will benefit LCIF.

This afternoon is filled with interactive seminars on leadership and high-visibility club projects, concluding with a STRIDES Walk to raise awareness for diabetes.

Those demonstrating International President Wirfs’s theme “Move to Grow” were recognized in several categories at this evening’s International Ginkgo Awards Banquet.
