DR. H. HAUSER WEILER
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

Dr. H. Hauser Weiler, from Lancaster, Virginia, USA was elected to serve a two-year term as a Director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea June 22-26, 2012.

A member of the Tappahannock Lions Club and a Lion since 1989, he has held many offices within the association including club President, Sight Chairman, Zone Chair, Region Chair, 24-D Treasurer, District Governor, multiple district Remote Area Medical (RAM) Chair and Council Chairman 2001-2002.  He has sponsored over 40 members into Lions and earned a Senior Master Key.

He is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Virginia Lions Eyeglass Recycling Inc. Foundation and Executive Director of the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center of Eastern Virginia.  He serves on the Service Activities Committee of the LCI Board of Directors.

In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including Lion of the Year, three Council of Governors Awards, Lions of Virginia Foundation Humanitarian Award, two International President’s Medals and five President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Director Weiler is secretary and treasurer of the Northern Neck Medical Association, a 32 Degree Mason, Kentucky Colonel and Arkansas Traveler.

Dr. Weiler, a Virginia native, is an ophthalmologist in private practice and lives in Lancaster County in the beautiful Northern Neck of Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay.  He retired as a Captain from the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in 1989.
