KLAUS TANG
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Klaus Tang, from Neustadt, Wied, Germany, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 94th International Convention, held in Seattle, Washington, USA, July 4 to July 8, 2011.
Director Tang is a pharmacist.
A member of the Rhein-Wied Lions Club since 1984, he has held many offices within the association, including charter club president, district governor and council chairperson. He also served as DGE Seminar Chairperson, international board appointee and GMT CA leader.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including seven International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the association’s highest honor. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
Director Tang and his wife, Barbara, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have one daughter.
