INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

Tae-Young Kim, from Incheon, Korea, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea, June 22 through 26, 2012.

Director Kim is the CEO of TCMC Construction Management Company. He is an architect and consultant engineer with a doctorate degree in architectural engineering.

A member of the Inchon Wolmi Lions Club since 1989, he has held many offices within the association, club president, region chairperson, district governor and multiple district Lions Quest chairperson.

In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including International President’s Awards, International Leadership Awards and several Presidential Certificates of Appreciation. Director Kim is a Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Director Kim is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as vice chairperson of the Construction Management Association of Korea and the Ministry of Justice’s Crime Prevention Unit in Incheon. He is also the director of the Saeul Foundation of Culture and an adjunct professor at the University of Incheon Graduate School. Director Kim is also the recipient of the Prime Minister Award and numerous awards from ministers and mayors.

Director Kim and his wife, Sea-Hee Oh, have two sons.
