DAVE HAJNY
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Dave Hajny, from Ennis, Montana, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 94th International Convention, held in Seattle, Washington, USA July 4-8, 2011.
Director Hajny is retired.
A member of the Bozeman Lions Club, and a Lion since 1994, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, council chair and district governor. He also served as Montana Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation vice president, Montana PDG Association president and a faculty member at the Regional Lions Leadership Institute.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including two Club Lion of the Year Awards, a PID Dr. Jack Dobush Fellowship, a PID Gary Tschache Fellowship, a Montana Lions Sight & Hearing Fellowship, a Presidential Leadership Medal, five International President’s Certificates of Appreciation and an International President’s Medal. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Hajny is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Madison Valley Hospital Foundation, the American Legion and the United States Selective Service Board for Montana. He has also served as chairperson of the Madison Valley Rural Fire Board.
Director Hajny and his wife, Marie, also a Lion and a Melvin Jones Fellow, have three sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren.
