Bishnu Bajoria
Bishnu Bajoria, from Bankura, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 91st International Convention, held in Bangkok, Thailand, June 23-27, 2008.
Director Bishnu is the head of a petroleum products distribution company.
A charter member of the Lions Club of Bankura and a Lion since 1976, he has held many offices within the association, including District Governor, Multiple Council Treasure, Multiple District Membership Chairperson, Indian National Membership Coordinator, and Treasurer of MDCCI.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including three Extension Awards, Top 20 Leo Chairperson's Award, 100% District Governor's Award, two International President's Leadership Awards and four International President's Awards. Director Bajoria is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a Life Member of the association.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Bajoria is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He is the chairman of S.N. Bajoria Memorial Bankura Lions Eye Care Center and served as the President of Bankura Chamber of Commerce for 13 years. He also regularly serves as an honorary judge in the local civil court.
Director Bajoria and his wife, Indra, also a Life Member and a Melvin Jones Fellow, have two sons and four grandchildren.
