RONALD JOHNSON
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Ronald Johnson, from Sebago, Maine, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 92nd International Convention, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, July 6-10, 2009.
Director Johnson runs his own business.
A former Leo and member of the Sebago Lions Club since 1984, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, district secretary/treasurer, district governor, district MERL chair, district CSF group coordinator, district CSFII co-coordinator, long-range planning chair, diabetes chair, membership chair, multiple district extension chair and multiple district Leo chair.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the Guiding Lion Award, 100% District Governor Award, District Governor Excellence Award, Certified Guiding Lion Award, eight International Extension Awards, Five International President Certificates of Appreciation, two International Leadership Medals and an International President’s Medal. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and an Illinois Foundation Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Johnson is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He is a current member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
Director Johnson and his wife, June, also a Lion, have a son, Lion Greg; daughter, Kim; and three granddaughters.
