INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

Stephen M. Glass, from Bridgeport, West Virginia, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea June 22-26, 2012.

Director Glass is an attorney and retired FBI management and program analyst.

A member of the Clarksburg Lions Club since 1981, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, council chair, district governor, LEO chair, LCIF chair, GMT and Certified Guiding Lion. He has also chaired the West Virginia State Convention, and presented at several West Virginia Lions Leadership Schools.

In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the Presidential Excellence Award, 100% District Governor’s Award, Grand Master Key, International President’s Leadership Medal, Evan Hugus Award from the WVU Eye Institute and six International President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Director Glass is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including formerly serving as president of the Bridgeport High School Academic Boosters, chairperson of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church Administrative Board, Clarksburg Housing Authority and commissioner of Harrison County Deputy Sheriffs Civil Service Commission.

Director Glass and his wife, Cindy, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have a daughter.
