INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Oya Sebuk, from Istanbul, Turkey, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 96th International Convention held in Hamburg, Germany July 5 through 9, 2013.
Director Sebuk is a retired manager for a textile company.
A charter member of the Istanbul Ulus Lions Club since 1991, and a Lion since 1978, she has held many offices within the association, including president, district governor, district LCIF and Sight First coordinator, council chairperson and LEHP project coordinator.
In recognition of her service to the association, she has received numerous awards including the Club President Excellence Award, Leadership Medal, two International President’s Medals and several International President’s Certificates of Appreciation. She is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to her Lions activities, Director Sebuk is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Six Dots Blind Foundation, Turkish Lions Foundation, kidney and heart foundations.
Director Sebuk has one daughter.
