INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Fábio de Almeida, from São Paulo, Brazil, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 96th International Convention held in Hamburg, Germany July 5 through 9, 2013.
Director de Almeida is a lawyer, real estate manager and owns an automotive transportation company.
A member of the Guarulhos Lions Club since 1984, he has held many offices within the association, including president, district governor, district LCIF chairperson, multiple district leadership development chairperson and certified guiding Lion.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the Club President Excellence Award, a Leadership Medal, 12 Presidential Certificates and four International President’s Medals. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director de Almeida is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Cub Scouts.
Director de Almeida’s wife, Anita, is also a Lion.
